Chewy Squares

Directions

   Preheat oven to 350°.

   Mix cake mix and brown sugar in large mixing bowl.

   Add butter, eggs, water, flour and vanilla.

   Blend all ingredients well (batter will be stiff).

   Stir in chocolate chips and nuts by hand.

   Spread batter in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.

   Bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes.

   Cut into squares.

   Makes 30 bar cookies.
