- 1 chicken
- 12 cornbread crumbs
- 4 slices bread
- 3 Tbsp. sage
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 to 5 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 2 cubes oleo
Directions

1Boil chicken until tender.

2Bone and skin and chop to bite-size.

3Place in a 2-quart saucepan.

4Add onion, sage, 1 stick oleo, salt and pepper.

5Let boil 5 to 8 minutes.

6Add enough water to make 2 quarts.

7In a large container, crumble corn bread and eggs.

8Mix well and pour in a large roast pan.

9Cut 1 stick oleo in slices over top.

10Have your dressing pretty juicy or will be too dry when baked.

11I taste mine to see if it needs more sage. You may want to add more seasoning.

12Bake at 350° for 45 minutes to 1 hour (when it gets golden brown on top).
