Chicken Cabbage Bake

- 1 broiler-fryer, quartered
- 1 small cabbage, cut into wedges
- 1 medium onion, sliced and separated into rings
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 2 tsp. granular chicken bouillon, divided
- 1 tsp. salt, divided
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, divided
- 1/4 tsp. pepper, divided
Directions

1Arrange cabbage wedges in deep 3-quart baking dish.

2Top with half the onion rings and water.

3Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of the bouillon, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg and 1/8 teaspoon of the pepper.

4Place chicken quarters on top and add remaining onion rings.

5Sprinkle with remaining bouillon, salt, nutmeg and pepper.

6Cover and bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

7Remove cover; adjust temperature to 375° and bake 15 minutes more or until chicken is brown and fork can be inserted with ease.
