Chicken Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 c. shredded cheese (Monterey Jack and Cheddar)
  • 8 oz. (approximately) spirals or shells pasta (enough pasta to fill a 13 x 9-inch pan)
  • 1 or 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 small cans sliced mushrooms
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 to 3/4 c. Miracle Whip
  • 1 can Durkee French fried onions (optional)

Directions

    Saute onions and garlic until softened.

    Add the cubed chicken and brown; drain the fat and add the mushrooms.

    Mix together with the cooked noodles and then add the remaining ingredients except the cheese and Durkee onions.

    Mix thoroughly and spread into a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

    Bake in 350° oven until bubbly; top with cheese and Durkee onions.

    Broil until cheese is melted.
