Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. Creamettes (macaroni), uncooked
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. rich chicken broth
  • 2 cans mushroom soup
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
  • 1 c. finely chopped celery
  • 1 large can mushrooms pieces, drained
  • 2 cans fried onion rings
  • 1/2 lb. diced American cheese
  • 4 hard-boiled eggs, diced
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 3 c. diced, cooked chicken (about 3 lb.)
  • 1 small jar pimentos, drained
  • 1 (8 oz.) can small peas, drained

Directions

    Mix all ingredients together.

    Pour into a 9 x 13-inch greased casserole.

    The casserole will be full.

    Let stand overnight in refrigerator.

    Remove 1 hour before baking.

    Bake at 350°.

    Top casserole with 2 cans French fried onion rings when ready for baking.
