- 1 c. cooked rice
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 can mushrooms (save liquid)
- 1/4 c. pimento, chopped
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. slivered almonds
- 1/2 c. onion, chopped
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1 1/4 c. cooked chicken, chopped or 1 whole fryer, cooked and chopped
- 2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 c. light cream or half and half
Directions

1Saute onion until tender in butter.

2Remove from heat and stir in flour.

3Drain mushroom liquid and add enough chicken broth to make 1 1/4 cups.

4Add cream gradually, stirring until thickened. Add rest of ingredients and bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until brown.
