- 1 (3 to 3 1/2 lb.) chicken
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 8 oz. egg noodles
- 3 c. chopped celery
- 1/3 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. melted butter
- 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
- 6 oz. cubed Cheddar cheese
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Boil chicken in salted water for about 45 minutes.

2Debone chicken; save broth.

3Cut chicken into bite-size pieces.

4Set aside 1/3 cup broth.

5Cook noodles in remaining broth.

6Saute celery and onions in butter until tender.

7Mix celery, onions, 1/3 cup broth, pepper, cubed cheese, chicken and noodles.

8Spoon into casserole dish.

9Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

10Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake for 5 minutes.
