Upside-Down Beef Cornbread

Ingredients
- 1/4 chopped onion
- 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 Tbsp. Crisco
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 1/2 recipe cornbread (I use 1 box of Jiffy cornbread mix made according to the recipe on the box.)
Directions

1Saute onion, green pepper and meat into Crisco until lightly browned.

2Add sauce and seasonings and let simmer while mixing cornbread mixture.

3Pour batter mixture over the hot meat mixture. Bake in a 6 x 10-inch pan for 20 to 25 minutes.

4Turn out on a platter upside down and serve.
