Ingredients
- 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 8 chicken drumsticks
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 2/3 c. dry white wine or 2 tsp. instant chicken bouillon dissolved in 2/3 c. hot water
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 c. mushrooms, sliced
- 2 medium tomatoes, peeled and chopped
- 1 tsp. sugar
Directions

1Combine flour, oregano, salt and pepper.

2Reserve 1 tablespoon mixture; coat chicken with remaining mixture.

3In oven-going skillet, brown chicken in butter.

4Combine wine and lemon juice; pour over chicken.

5Add onion.

6Bake, covered, in 350° oven about 45 minutes or until tender.

7Remove chicken to platter.

8Keep warm.

9Add mushrooms, tomatoes and sugar to mixture in skillet. Cook about 4 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

10Blend reserved flour mixture and 1/4 cup cold water; add to sauce.

11Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.

12Pour over chicken.

13Makes 4 servings.
