- 1 Tbsp. shortening (Crisco)
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 2 small onions, chopped
- garlic (optional)
- 1 medium green pepper, chopped
- 2 tsp. fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 c. canned tomatoes
- 3/4 c. chopped celery
- 1/4 c. mushrooms, chopped
- 2 c. diced, cooked chicken or turkey
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Place shortening, flour, onions, green pepper and parsley in large skillet.

2Cook until onions are brown; add tomatoes, chopped celery, mushrooms, salt and pepper.

3Add cooked chicken and cover; cook slowly for 1 hour.

4One half hour before done, add Worcestershire sauce.

5Serve over cooked rice and sprinkle with chow mein noodles or serve separately.
