- 3 c. diced, cooked chicken
- 1 1/2 c. cold boiled rice
- 2 c. plain stewed tomatoes
- 3 stalks chopped fine celery
- 2 medium to large onions, chopped fine
- 1 large sweet green pepper
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- few grains nutmeg
- 1 bag buttered bread crumbs
Directions

1Combine chicken and rice.

2Mix into this the stewed tomatoes. Cook over low heat for 10 to 12 minutes.

3Toss in the cut celery, onions and green pepper.

4Cook over low heat another 10 minutes. Add salt, pepper and nutmeg.

5Grease a baking dish and pour mixture into it; liberally cover the top with buttered bread crumbs.

6Bake for 1 hour in a 350° oven.

7If top gets brown, cover with foil.

8Serves 6.
