  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1/2 cup tomato juice
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice, reserving squeezed limes to rim glasses
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mexican hot sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon pico de gallo (Mexican fruit salad spice), plus more for rimming glasses

Directions

    Mix orange juice, tomato juice, lime juice, hot sauce, and pico de gallo in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well.

    Rub rim of serving glasses with lime. Sprinkle a few teaspoons of pico de gallo on a saucer and dip each glass in to coat the rim. Strain sangrita into rimmed glasses. Serve with shots of tequila.
