- 2 lb. chicken thighs or drumsticks
- 2 onions
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 4 large cloves garlic and ginger (1-inch pieces), ground to paste
- 3 medium tomatoes
- 1/2 spoon chili powder
- salt to taste
- 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Remove the skin from the chicken and clean very well.

2Slice onion and saute in 1/4 cup vegetable oil to a golden brown.

3Add ginger and garlic paste and chicken pieces.

4Stir a while and then add chili powder, salt and water.

5Cook in low-medium heat with cover on it.

6Let it cook for a few minutes (10 to 15 minutes). Add chopped tomatoes.

7Now, cook in low heat for 10 minutes more.
