  • 4 c. corn bread, crumbled
  • 3 Tbsp. celery, diced
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 1 tsp. parsley flakes
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. sage
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • enough hot chicken broth to moisten
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Mix corn bread, celery, onion and seasoning.

    Add well beaten egg and butter; mix thoroughly.

    Moisten with hot chicken broth until soft.

    Pour into a well-greased baking pan.

    Bake at 400° for 25 to 30 minutes or use to stuff a small chicken or turkey.
