Ingredients

  • 1 chicken
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. celery
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 loaf stale bread
  • 3 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 c. grated carrots
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 or 3 potatoes, cooked and diced
  • 5 c. water or broth
  • Accent

Directions

    Cook chicken in water 1 1/2 hours.

    Cool and dice into large bowl.

    Add cubed bread, diced potatoes and carrots.

    Saute chopped celery and chopped onion in 2 tablespoons oleo until clear.

    Beat eggs; add milk.

    Add celery-onion mixture to chicken and bread. Add egg-milk mixture.

    Add seasonings.

    Stir.

    Moisten with chicken broth.

    Place in casserole and bake at 375° for 2 hours.
