- 1 small fresh hen
- 2 c. self-rising flour
- approximately 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 stick margarine
Directions

1Boil chicken and save broth.

2Slowly mix water with flour to make a smooth ball.

3Place ball on floured surface and roll out flat.

4Have broth boiling.

5Cut dough into short strips and place a few at a time into boiling broth.

6Stir to keep from sticking. Add chicken soup and milk.

7Continue to stir.
-
8Add margarine and stir.
-
9Reduce heat and cook 10 minutes. (Watch carefully; dumplings will stick to bottom of pan.)
