Chicken Dumplings

- 1 whole chicken
- 1/2 stick margarine
- 3 c. flour
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 c. broth
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Broil chicken until tender; remove chicken from broth and debone.

2The remaining broth is for your dumplings.

3Mix flour, egg yolks, shortening, milk, broth and 1 teaspoon salt together. Mixture will be like a dough.

4Add additional water, if necessary. Add 1/2 stick of margarine to the remaining broth.

5Roll out the dumplings in flour; cut in strips.

6As you put the dumplings in the broth, pull them a little so that they won't be too thick. Add the deboned chicken.

7Cook for 20 to 25 minutes.
