- 8 thin slices round steak or minute steaks (1 lb.)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3/4 c. bread crumbs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 4 Tbsp. oil or bacon drippings
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. broth or milk
Directions

1Put beef slices between sheets of plastic wrap.

2With flat side of mallet, pound until about 1/4 inch thick.

3Dip beef into the beaten egg and then into bread crumbs, mixed with salt and pepper.

4Heat fat in heavy skillet over medium to low heat.

5Brown steak 8 to 10 minutes on each side.

6Place steaks on warm platter. Keep hot.
