Ingredients

  • 1 large fryer
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • 1 c. bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 c. celery, chopped
  • 1 c. onion, chopped
  • 1 pkg. noodles
  • 1 small can pimento, chopped
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 lb. cheese, grated

Directions

    Cook chicken in boiling, salted water until tender.

    Drain and reserve broth.

    Cool chicken, remove from bones and chop into bite size pieces.

    Drain mushrooms and reserve liquid.

    Mix mushroom liquid and chicken broth in a saucepan.

    Add celery, onions and bell pepper and cook until tender.

    Add chicken and mushrooms.

    Cook noodles according to package directions and add to chicken mixture.

    Mix in remaining ingredients and place in a large casserole.

    Bake at 350° until bubbly.
