Chicken Noodle Soup

- 3 c. cubed cooked chicken
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 12 c. water
- 2 c. shredded carrots
- 12 chicken flavor bouillon cubes
- 1/2 tsp. basil
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. fine egg noodles (uncooked)
Directions

1In large kettle over medium heat, cook celery, onion and carrots in margarine until tender; add remaining ingredients except noodles.

2Bring to a boil.

3Reduce heat; simmer covered 30 minutes. Remove bay leaf; add noodles.

4Cook 6 minutes longer or until noodles are tender.

5Makes about 4 quarts.
