Chicken Pan Pie

  • 3 lb. cooked chicken, diced
  • 1 can chicken broth
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can mixed vegetables
  • 1 can peas
  • 1/2 c. melted margarine
  • 1 c. self-rising flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • pepper to taste

Directions

    Place chicken in a well-greased 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Add peas and mixed vegetables.

    Combine soup and broth in a saucepan and bring to a boil; pour over chicken.

    Next, combine butter, salt, pepper and flour in a saucepan; heat on medium and then add buttermilk. Stir together well.

    Spoon over top of pie and bake at 425° for 25 to 30 minutes or until brown and bubbly.
