  • 1 head lettuce, broken in bite size pieces
  • 1 c. celery, thinly sliced
  • 1 large red Spanish onion, sliced thin
  • 2 c. mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 10 slices bacon, fried crisp
  • 1 c. Mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1 pkg. frozen chopped broccoli, thawed (uncooked)
  • 1 c. Cheddar cheese

Directions

    In a 3-quart rectangular casserole dish, spread layer of lettuce.

    Cover lettuce with layer of celery.

    Cover celery with a layer of onion.

    Combine mayonnaise, sugar and salt and spread over onion layer.

    Crumble crisp bacon over mayonnaise layer.

    Sprinkle layer of uncooked chopped broccoli over bacon.

    Cover broccoli with grated cheese.

    Cover with foil and refrigerate.

    Prepare 12 to 24 hours before serving.
