Ingredients
- 3/4 lb. chicken, cut in pieces
- 1/4 c. chicken fat or butter, melted
- 1 onion, chopped
- salt and pepper
- 1 c. dairy sour cream
- 1 1/2 to 2 tsp. paprika
- 1 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
- 2 c. water or chicken broth
Directions

1Brown chicken pieces in melted fat or butter.

2Remove from skillet and set aside.

3Add onion and green pepper and cook until tender.

4Add seasonings.

5Return chicken to skillet.

6Add water or broth.

7Cover and bake in 350° oven for 1 hour or until tender. Place in a large covered casserole if your skillet is not ovenproof.

8Blend flour and a little water; add sour cream and blend well.

9Stir a little of the hot broth into sour cream, then return to skillet and blend.

10Serve right away with dumplings.
