- 1 (2 1/2 lb.) chicken
- 1 (16 oz.) can green peas, drained
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 c. melted butter
- 1 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Rinse chicken.

2Cook in water to cover until tender.

3Bone and chop chicken; reserve 1 1/2 cups chicken broth.

4Place chicken in 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

5Combine reserved broth, peas and soup in bowl; mix well.

6Pour over chicken.

7Stir flour into butter in bowl.

8Add buttermilk; mix well.

9Spoon over casserole.

10Bake at 425° for 20 to 30 minutes or until brown.
