Chicken Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 2 cans mixed vegetables, drained
  • 4 boiled eggs, shredded
  • 1 can celery or mushroom soup
  • 1 1/2 c. chicken broth (use broth chicken was boiled in)
  • 1 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 stick butter, melted

Directions

    Cook chicken and remove from bone (overnight in crock-pot). Place in large casserole dish.

    Add veggies and shredded eggs. Mix soup and chicken broth; pour on top.

    Add 1/2 cup more broth to keep from drying out.

    Mix flour, milk and butter well; pour over chicken mixture.

    Do not stir!

    Cook at 400° until top browns, about 30 to 40 minutes.
