- 1 chicken (fryer)
- 1/2 kilo pork (1.1 lb.)
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 1/3 c. vinegar
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 6 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 small bay leaf
- 6 peppercorns, crushed
- 1/2 c. oil or pork lard
Directions

1Cut chicken and pork into serving pieces.

2Put in a cooking dish and add the rest of the ingredients except salt and oil. Cover and bring to a boil.

3Lower heat and cook slowly until the meat is almost tender.

4Add salt and oil.

5Continue cooking, uncovered, stirring occasionally to prevent scorching.

6Remove from fire when chicken and pork are tender and brown.
