  • 1 chicken or chicken breasts
  • 2 carrots or more
  • 1 stalk celery or more
  • 1 onion (small)
  • 2 potatoes or more
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 c. chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch or more as needed

    Cut vegetables into pieces.

    Place chicken, carrots, celery, onion, potatoes and seasoning in pot and add enough water to cover.

    Boil until tender.

    Debone chicken.

    Line a casserole dish with pie crust.

    Put chicken and vegetables in the casserole dish. Combine soup, broth and cornstarch.

    Pour into pie shell.

    Top with bread, bread crumbs or pie crust.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
