  • 1/3 c. margarine
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • 1/3 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 3/4 c. chicken broth
  • 2/3 c. milk
  • 2 c. chopped chicken
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen vegetables
  • 2 crust pie pastry

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Melt margarine in saucepan.

    Blend in flour.

    Add onion, salt and pepper.

    Cook over low heat until bubbly, stirring constantly.

    Remove from heat.

    Stir in broth and milk gradually.

    Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

    Cook for 1 minute or until thickened, stirring constantly.

    Stir in chicken and vegetables; spoon into pastry-lined dish.
