- 2 Tbsp. margarine or butter, melted
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. Italian dry bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 8 boneless chicken breast halves (each 1/4-inch thick)
Directions

1Put butter in medium bowl; beat in lemon juice and egg with fork.

2In another bowl, mix bread crumbs, cheese, basil, salt and pepper.

3Dip chicken slices into egg mixture; coat evenly with crumb mixture.

4In a large frying pan, melt 2 teaspoons of butter. Cook chicken over low heat, turning once, until done.

5Serve with spaghetti in a red sauce.
