Chicken Sopa

Ingredients

  • 2 c. boned chicken or 1 fryer, cut up and boned
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup
  • 3 small cans Pet milk
  • 1 small can chopped green chilies
  • 1 medium onion, chopped and sauteed
  • 1/2 c. chicken broth or water
  • 8 to 9 corn tortillas, each cut into 8 pieces
  • 1 (16 oz.) pkg. American cheese, cut each slice into 4 pieces

Directions

    Mix soup, milk, chilies, chicken, onion and broth.

    Heat thoroughly on top of stove.

    Line a large casserole (9 x 13-inch) with tortilla wedges.

    Layer soup mixture over tortillas and then cheese.

    Repeat layers and end with cheese on top.

    Heat in 350° oven until bubbly.
