  • 1 whole chicken
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 4 c. milk
  • water (enough to boil chicken in)
  • 1 medium onion, diced

Directions

    Boil chicken; debone and put back into stock.

    Add onion to chicken broth and cook until tender.

    Add salt, pepper and soup; bring to a boil.

    Add milk and heat until warm; do not boil. Serve with saltine crackers.
