- 1 onion
- 1 rib celery (optional)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 1/4 c. cold water
Directions

1Place chicken in 3 cups water with onion, celery and 1 teaspoon salt.

2Cook until tender over medium heat.

3When tender, remove chicken from broth and debone.

4Cut into large chunks and place in the bottom of a greased, 9 x 12-inch baking dish.
