Chile Cheese Casserole

Ingredients

  • 5 eggs, beaten well
  • 2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 2 c. grated Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 (7 oz.) can Ortega whole green chilies
  • pinch of garlic

Directions

    Beat eggs; add salt and pepper to taste and a pinch of garlic. Open chilies and clean seeds from them.

    Spread in the bottom of well buttered 8 x 8-inch Pyrex baking dish, alternating cheese and chilies in layers.

    Pour eggs over and bake 40 minutes at 350°. Cut into one-inch squares or smaller.
