- 1 lb. hamburger
- 3/4 c. chopped celery
- 2 green peppers, chopped
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 3 cans light kidney beans
- 1 (32 oz.) can tomato juice
- 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 4 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 tsp. garlic
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Thoroughly brown and drain hamburger and rinse with hot water before adding other ingredients.

2Saute celery, green pepper and onion in oil.

3Add remaining ingredients.

4Simmer over low heat for 35 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5Rinse beans before adding to other ingredients.

6Makes 12 servings.
