- 2 lb. hamburger
- 2 large cans tomato juice
- 2 large cans red kidney beans
- Texas Pete sauce
- 1 large onion
- 1 green pepper
- 1 Tbsp. hot sauce
- 1/2 stick butter
Directions

1Clean and dice onion; combine it with hamburger.

2Cook in a large skillet until done, stirring often to insure that hamburger is broken up.

3Drain off grease and combine in a large pot with tomato juice and beans.

4Add 1/2 stick butter, diced green pepper and hot sauce.

5Cook slowly about 1 to 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.

6The amounts of hot sauce and green pepper can be adjusted to your individual taste.
