Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp oil
  • 5 cloves garlic - minced
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp cumin
  • 2+ Tbsp oregano
  • 3+ Tbsp hot chili powder
  • 4 lb ground turkey
  • 4 green peppers, chopped
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 3 large cans kidney beans
  • 4 - 5 cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 large can tomato sauce
  • Salt
  • Coriander
  • Paprika
  • Cinnamon

Directions

    Pre-cook the turkey with approximately 1 Tbsp chili powder and set aside.

    Heat oil in a large pot, and sautee garlic, minced onion, cumin, oregano, and chili powder.

    Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, turkey, and chopped onion. Mix well and simmer 30 minutes.

    Add the chopped green pepper and cook another 20 minutes.

    Drain the kidney beans. Add the beans, coriander, salt, paprika, and cinnamon. Simmer, stirring occasionally, approximately 30 minutes.
