  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 5 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 2 (16 ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 (16 ounce) cans pinto beans, drained
  • 1 (1 1/4 ounce) packagemcmormick mild chili seasoning mix
  • 2 tablespoons molasses

Directions

    Melt butter in pan; saute onion and celery; cook 2 minutes.

    Add ground beef and ground pork; brown.

    In a crock pot or Dutch oven place browned meat, tomato sauce, drained pinto beans, seasoning mix, and molasses.

    Simmer for 1 hour and serve.
