Ingredients

  • 2 (14 oz.) cans tomatoes
  • 2 cans dark or light kidney beans
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 large bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 rib celery, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 to 2 lb. ground chuck or round
  • 1 pkg. Chill-O mix
  • sprinkle of chili powder and red pepper
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 c. catsup
  • 6 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. vinegar

Directions

    Cover ground chuck or round in water in large container and simmer until red is out.

    Add all other ingredients and water if needed to keep this consistency so chili will not be too thick.
