- 1 1/4 lb. hamburger meat
- 2 (15 1/2 oz.) cans whole tomatoes
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 Tbsp. white granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. light brown sugar
- 4 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 clove garlic, diced
- 3 (12 oz.) cans red kidney beans
- 2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Brown meat and leave juice in meat.

2Add diced onion and pepper.

3Let simmer 5 to 10 minutes, then add remaining ingredients, preferably tomatoes first.

4Also, add 1 cup of water. Cook for about 2 hours and remove lid for the last 45 minutes for thicker chili.
