- medium onion, chopped
- green pepper, chopped
- 10 1/2 oz. can tomato puree
- 1 can tomato paste
- 1 can water
- 1 to 1 1/2 lb. hamburger
- 1 can chili beans (Van Camp's Mexican style)
- 1 can kidney beans
- chili powder to taste
- crushed red pepper (if desired)
Directions

1Chop onion and green pepper and saute in oil.

2Add tomato puree, tomato paste and water.

3Simmer.

4Add hamburger; cook about one hour or more.

5Add chili beans, kidney beans, chili powder and crushed red pepper, if desired.

6Simmer for 40 minutes.
