- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 tsp. garlic clove, minced
- 1 c. onion, finely chopped
- 2/3 c. green pepper, finely chopped
- 4 Tbsp. cider vinegar
- 1/4 tsp. allspice
- 1/4 tsp. coriander
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 1 (16 oz.) can red kidney beans with liquid
- 1/2 tsp. salt, or to taste
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 c. (16 oz.) canned crushed tomatoes
Directions

1Cook beef, garlic, onion and green pepper in heavy skillet over medium heat, stirring frequently to break up meat.

2Cook until onion is soft and meat has lost its pink color.

3Add remaining ingredients.

4Bring to boil; cover and reduce heat. Simmer the chili for 45 minutes, stirring frequently.

5For hot chili, add Tabasco or cayenne pepper.

6For thicker, add masa (corn flour).
