- 2 lb. lean ground beef
- 3 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1 can whole tomatoes
- 1 c. water
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 2 cans kidney beans (undrained)
- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 2 Tbsp. flour
Directions

1Brown the beef.

2Add other ingredients, except beans, cooking oil and flour; cover and simmer for 1 hour.

3In a small bowl, mix oil and flour together until smooth; add undrained kidney beans. Add mixture to kettle.

4Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes.
