- 2 lb. dry pinto beans
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
- 4 Tbsp. chili powder
- salt to taste
Directions

1Wash beans through several changes of water.

2Place in large pan.

3Cover with cold water and soak overnight.

4Next day, heat to boiling; reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.

5Add all other ingredients and cook until beans are tender, about 1 hour.

6Stir often.
