Chili-Cheese Tomatoes

  • 3 to 4 medium firm ripe tomatoes, peeled
  • 1/2 pt. sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped green onion
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp. chopped green chiles
  • 1 c. Cheddar cheese

Directions

    Cut each tomato into 3 large slices.

    Squeeze gently to remove some seeds.

    Combine sour cream, salt, pepper, sugar, flour, green onion and green chili.

    Stir well.

    Spoon over tomato slices. Sprinkle with cheese.

    Just before serving, place in preheated broiler 4-inches from heat.

    Broil until bubbly, about 4 minutes.
