Chili Con Queso

Ingredients
- 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
- 1 (4 oz.) can green chili peppers, rinsed and chopped
- 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- tortilla or corn chips
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 medium tomatoes, peeled, seeded and chopped
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
- milk
Directions

1In a medium saucepan cook onion in butter or margarine until tender but not brown.

2Stir in tomatoes, chili peppers and salt. Simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.

3Add cheeses, a little at a time, stirring just until melted.

4Stir in a little milk if mixture becomes too thick.

5Heat through over low heat.

6Transfer to a small serving bowl.

7Serve warm with tortilla chips or corn chips.

8Makes about 1 3/4 cups.
