- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. yellow corn meal
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar (optional)
- 6 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 (8 1/2 oz.) can cream-style corn
- 1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies, drained
- 1/3 c. milk
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
Directions

1Combine flour, corn meal, baking powder, salt and sugar.

2Stir in cheese, corn, chilies, milk and oil.

3In small bowl beat eggs. Add to corn meal mixture and stir only until blended.

4Turn into oiled 9-inch square baking pan.

5Bake at 400° until golden brown, 30 to 35 minutes.
