  • 2 medium onions
  • 5 or 6 garlic buttons
  • 5 Tbsp. chili powder (pure)
  • 2 tsp. comino seed
  • 1 tsp. Mexican sage
  • red pepper to taste
  • 1 pt. tomatoes
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 2 scant c. oatmeal

    Brown beef in a small amount of oil. Add onions and garlic. Cook until soft. Add next 7 ingredients. Simmer for about 2 hours. Add oatmeal. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring often.
