Chili Rellenos Bake

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 3 to 4 fresh green chilies, roasted and peeled
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 to 3 dashes Tabasco sauce
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. Monterey Jack cheese, grated
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper

    Brown ground beef.

    Remove seeds from chilies.

    Cut lengthwise and place in bottom of baking dish.

    Cover with meat and grated cheese.

    Combine milk, eggs, flour, salt, Tabasco and pepper. Beat until smooth.

    Pour over meat and chilies.

    Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes.

    Cool 5 minutes before serving.
