  • 1/2 bushel ripe tomatoes
  • 7 red peppers
  • 2 bunches celery
  • 20 onions
  • 2 hot peppers or 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 c. pickling mixed spice (in cheesecloth bag)
  • 6 c. sugar
  • 3 c. vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard
  • 1/4 c. salt

Directions

    Grind the tomatoes, onions, red peppers, hot peppers and celery.

    Then add the pickling mixed spice, sugar, vinegar, mustard and salt.

    Cook until thick and can.

    Will make about 35 pints.
