Ingredients
- 1/4 lb. bacon
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 medium onion
- 1 pod garlic
- 1 small can tomato paste (Contadina preferred)
- 1 can tomato sauce (Contadina preferred)
- 2 cans water
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. sugar (optional)
- few drops lemon juice (optional)
- salt and cayenne pepper
Directions

1Cut bacon in small pieces and crisp.

2Pour off most of the grease.

3Chop 1 medium-size onion.

4Crush 1 pod garlic.

5Cook until onion is tender.

6Remove from skillet.

7Open tomato paste and heat to remove any excess liquid.

8Add tomato sauce and water.

9Simmer slowly; add chili powder, salt and pepper (cayenne) to taste. Simmer slowly at least 45 minutes.

10Cook spaghetti as directed on package.

11This is good with plain lettuce salad and French bread (garlic butter).
